Category 2 For projects on Government land, certain requirements will have to be satisified which will be put in public domain. Upon fulfilment of such requirements, the land will be offered to developers based on maximum free energy offered by them per mega watt of plant capacity. For projects on private land, projects will be eligible for all benefits under the policy upon registration of projects with GoMP. Solar Park Policy Overview

Framework of Policy This policy shall be under the ambit of Policy for Implementation of Solar Power Based Projects in Madhya Pradesh, 2012. Eligibility Criteria The participating entity should have a turnover of INR 5 Crore per MW applied for and experience in establishing solar power plant of at least 50% of the capacity applied for. Modes of Development Mode A A1 The Park is developed entirely through private funding on government land. Section 3., pp. 2/9 of Policy for development of solar parks in the state of Madhya Pradesh
A2 The Park is developed by private developer through cost sharing between the GoMP and private developer on Government land.
A3 The Park is developed by the GoMP funding on private land.
A4 The Park is developed by private developer through cost sharing between the GoMP and private developer on private land.
Mode B The Park is developed entirely through Government funding on the designated government land. Banking Provisions Banking Facility Annual banking available for 100% of energy generated from the solar plant.
The banked power may normally be returned from 15th July to 15th October from 2300 hours to 2400 hours and 0000 hours to 1700 hours. The banked power may also be returned during November to February keeping in view the availability of power and demand in the Rabi Season and at the time of Peak Demand as decided by the MP Power Trading Co. Ltd./Distribution Licensees.
If a portion of banked power still remains un-adjusted at the end of Financial Year, then such remaining power would be construed as power purchased and the payment for the same will be made by the MP Power Trading Co at the rate determined by the Commission from time to time for Inadvertent Flow of Energy from Non-conventional Source.
